Frequently asked questions
What do the five cron fields mean?
From left to right: minute (0–59), hour (0–23), day of month (1–31), month (1–12) and day of week (0–6, Sunday is 0). An asterisk means 'every'. So '0 9 * * 1-5' runs at 09:00 on weekdays.
What does the special character mean, like */5 or 1-5?
'*/5' means 'every 5 units' (e.g. every 5 minutes), a range like '1-5' means Monday through Friday, and a list like '1,15' means the 1st and 15th. The generator translates any expression into plain English and shows the next run times.
Are the next-run times accurate?
Yes. The tool parses your expression with a real cron parser and computes the actual upcoming execution times, rather than guessing, so you can verify a schedule before deploying it.
